Job Description

Northwest Houston area company is in need of a Bilingual Accounts Receivable/Collections Specialist. The qualified candidate will be doing commercial collections on assigned accounts.

****CANDIDATES MUST BE BILINGUAL IN ENGLISH/SPANISH****

  • Review assigned customer accounts to identify past-due balances and prioritize collection activities based on established procedures and account status.
  • Conduct professional outbound collection calls in both English and Spanish to address outstanding balances, secure payments, and establish payment arrangements when appropriate.
  • Follow up consistently on overdue accounts, promised payments, payment plans, and outstanding balances.
  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, payment issues, account delinquencies, and customer account questions.
  • Collaborate with customers, stores, sales personnel, and internal departments to resolve account-related issues and facilitate payment.
  • Monitor assigned accounts, including past-due and over-credit-limit accounts, and take appropriate collection action in accordance with company policies and credit terms.
  • Process and document customer payments as needed, ensuring payments are accurately applied to the appropriate accounts.
  • Maintain complete and accurate account notes, collection records, call reports, payment arrangements, and follow-up documentation.
  • Escalate unresolved, high-risk, or complex account issues to the appropriate supervisor or management for additional review and approval.

Qualifications:

- 1 year of A/R or collections expeirence.

- Bilingual in Spanish/English required.

- Strong Excel skills

- Good communication and customer service skills
